Everything seemed to be slowing down upon the Colonies. The Cylons had been away for about forty years, and the wounds from the previous rebellion were just now mended. Though the Battlestars from that horrible time were now retired, newer ones still roamed the galaxy, taking care of secret missions for the Colonial Federation. One of these ships was called, “Battlstar Praxis.”[/i]
On a rather lengthy mission to simply check if a distant moon was inhabited or not (yes – work was slow), communications suddenly halted with home. Brushing it off as a systems error, they continued. With the mission complete (it was an empty moon), they were ready to come home.Then they got this broken message.
”Stay the frak away from the Colonies, Praxis! The Cylons are back! They’ve destroyed everything…oh Gods…they got everything.
They’ll only destroy you too. Please…don’t let the humans die out…pl—“”
The transmission was cut off, causing the commanding people of the Praxis to make an executive decision to change their mission.
No longer was it discovery.
But survival.
